Jay Jawan Cess
Continuing the celebration of the Independence day, I would like to share my view for betterment of the country. I have summed up as under.
Jay Jawan Cess
1. There should be levied a cess in addition to currently undergoing Krishi Kalyan Cess and Swachh Bharat Cess
2. The cess should be leviable on all the taxable Services
3. The cess should not be eligible for Input Credit under CENVAT Credit Rules, 2004, so that it can be utilized 100% for the stated purpose.
4. The revenue generated from the said cess will be utilized for the family members of the Jawans who gave their lives for the security of the nation. Especially for education and employment of the family members of the Jawans.
5. This will help the whole nation indirectly to contribute to the country.
6. The name of the said cess may be "Jay Jawan Cess".
7. The rates of tax can be ranged between 1% to 3%.
8. I have come with this thought on seeing the contributions being given by all the soldiers in the battlefield in past and also continuing the same for safety of all the citizens of India.
9. This way we can minutely support the irreparable loss caused at border to the family members and children of the shahids. I hope this small initiative might be helpful to the nation and can also be helpful, if implemented, to levy additional taxes on VAT and Income Tax as well in apart from service tax.
